| The Wicklow School of
Music opened in October 2000 and offers tuition
in Voice, Piano, Guitar, Violin, Keyboard and many
group classes for adults and children alike.
The Speech and Drama Department was created in
2002. These courses bring out the children's unique
talents and encourage them to create their own
productions for the end-of-term performances.
Today the WSM&D has access to an in-house
stage for recitals and theatre productions. We
place a strong emphasis on performance and students
are encouraged to become proficient in the art
of performing at every available opportunity.
End-of-term
concerts give students the opportunity to
display their skills in an informal environment.
WSM&D offers a range of extra-curricula events
such as soloist master classes; and invites specialists
in theatre production and stage craft to participate
in our drama courses.
Opening Hours
The school's operating hours are Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday from 4:30 - 9:00pm and Saturday between
9:30am and 5:00pm.
Directions
The classes take place at the East Glendalough
High School next to the Wicklow Town train station
(see
map) When entering the school you will see
that the parking lot flanks the right side of
the building as you are facing the front entrance.
The School of Music & Drama's entrance is
the last door at the end of the parking lot.
