The Kinder summer camp is a fun, safe & educational camp for young children to nurture a love of music and learn about music literacy & concepts through dance, art and singing! You can take a break safe in the knowledge that they are having fun and being well taken care of.

This years theme is Jungle Safari! The activities (and these are just a few examples!) include dancing to different kinds of music using simple props like balloons or bubbles; making & playing with simple instruments; making props for use in music time; learning songs & stories and for the older children an introduction to different instruments. The school is well equipped with resources such as pitched bells, lots of colourful percussion instruments, crawling tubes, hula hoops, etc.

There are 10 places for ages 4 - 5 and another 10 places for ages 5 - 6. The activities are organised according to these age groups. There will be refreshments (fresh fruit, crackers & squash), scheduled free-play and down time at the end of each day and a little musical play at the end of the week.

The camps are located in Wicklow town between the hours of 11am and 2pm. The first camp takes place from Monday, 5 July to Friday, 9 July with the second camp taking place from Monday, 26 July to Friday, 30 July. The Guitar camp will teach Acoustic Guitar for beginners and intermediate players. Students will learn basic chords and strumming patterns with a view to being able to play popular songs and know how to write their own songs. An introduction to other styles (Classical & Electric) will also be covered.

The Guitar camps are located in Wicklow town and will take place between 3pm and 5pm. They are open to boys and girls aged 11 years and up. The first camp takes place from Monday, 5 July to Friday, 9 July with the second camp taking place from Monday, 26 July to Friday, 30 July. The weekly fee for the Guitar camp is €60. This is a new and exciting camp for ages 10 and up. Students will learn the rudiments of drumming, rock guitar, lead vocals and sound engineering in a portable recording studio. They'll form a band and prepare for a gig on the Friday night of the second week. Tutors are some of Ireland's best! They are Dave Hingerty, Leslie Dowdall, Conor Brady and Gavin Ralston.

We will be holding a 2 week Summer School of Rock camp starting Monday, 12 July and running until Friday, 23 July. This will take place in the Abbey Community College between 10am and 4pm with a lunch break around 1pm. The minimum age for the Summer School of Rock camp is 10 years.
