Dara graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2007 with an Honours degree in Music Education. As well as giving individual piano instruction, Dara is qualified to teach Leaving and Junior Certificate Music. She also teaches Recorder and Theory at the Wicklow School of Music & Drama.

Dara has a particular interest in music psychology after completing a dissertation on sight-reading and uses innovative methods to institute proficient reading skills at an early stage of a student's piano instruction.

Dara is currently working towards furthering her education and adding to her qualifications.
